Final Numbers in the title Our base exploded His stayed home.

Update-Still 3 Counties to report in this district. For those that don't know this district, in 2004 the Primary results were Pence 61794 Fox 31231

I know the focus is on the Presidential and Gubernatorial here in the Hoosier state but...

There are still a few counties that haven’t posted, but things are looking good here in the 6th District of Indiana!

I have lost one out of 19 counties and that was by 300 votes.

What's your point in referencing completely meaningless statewide primary results in comparing to a House District race?       Statewide, the D primary had over 1,260,000 voters. The R primary had about 410,000 voters. If you think that Indiana is Democratic by a 3-1 advantage, that's just stupid.
      
      This diary is misleading. When I read it, I thought the Democrats picked up IN-06 to go with LA-06 and IL-14. The diary reads EXACTLY this way.
      
      If it is not meant to mislead, the victory that it is claiming is a meaningless victory. The state went 3-1 Democratic. That does not mean much for the general election.

  It looks extremely odd that Pence didn't get a single vote in Decatur county—I'll bet that's a reporting error, since there's always a few idiots in every county, but imagine that the correct number is in the hundreds.

It is because of Barry Welsh that Pence is pinned down in his district, unable to attack Indiana's three first-term Congressmen, or the tight race in the 4th district.

Taking a licking in 2006 was just opening. Because he came back for more, and now it's a competitive race. If it's not an upset win in 2008, it will be the year after that. Or the year after that. Meanwhile, with a shrinking margin of victory in east-central Indiana, the bluer regions will increasingly leave Democrats holding statewide office in Indiana, and 11 lovely early-called electoral votes.

Keep weakening those "red districts". They will turn pink, then purple, then blue. All 435 of them.

The election that is being referred to in this diary.. is it an uncontested primary for the Democratic spot on the ticket in the November election? If so, are the comparisons of Democratic vs. Republican votes for 'entertainment purposes only'.. because of the lack of a Republican presidential nomination battle to pull in those voters?

I strongly believe that an Obama candidacy will add many new Democrats to the fall election, but just want to make sure I understand what these numbers on the Ind. SOS website represent.
