Doesn't this look like the best weekend polls for Obama before than an election day for a long time?
He was sinking in PA the weekend before - at least in the national polls - and the same the weekend before TX and OH. But he's up in three national polls this weekend.
I think the pandering on the gas tax is hurting Clinton and reminding people of why they like Obama - and also the Wright issue is fading.

Look at how much damage Bu$hCo was able to do by sowing distrust of, and disdain for, facts, rationality, and intellectualism in general.
Now Hillary is doing the same, which I think is as disgusting as it is counterproductive. With the immensity of the challenges we face, we need to be doing exactly the opposite: encouraging the public to respect and understand facts and rationality, and to consider with an open mind, the opinions and findings of people with professional expertise.
We can no longer afford a dumbed-down public, yet Hillary depends for her political survival...on dumbing down as many as she can.
Enough.

These contacts add up giving you TU status. I'm thinking it occurs around 100 contacts in a 24 hour period. It is only math.

Used to work in a big library in computers. A book's record would "touch" a series of patron's records (as it was checked out each time)....and when that happened enough times, it would flag something in the system to let us know that we needed to consider buying another copy.

has a pretty good summary:
http://en.wikipedia.org/...
If you're just looking for the "concept" of inflation, it's the tendency for prices to rise over time.
If you're looking for the causes of inflation, there isn't any one cause (other than the use of money as a proxy for trade in the first place). Any time you start getting economists talking about "schools of thought", you know you're in for a ride.

Please check out Jim Neal, this amazing grassroots progressive candidate...
Here's what the North Carolina Triangle Independent says about Jim Neal...
Jim Neal for US Senate On the issues, there's a clear progressive choice in the Democratic primary: Chapel Hill businessman Jim Neal is our pick to take on Republican Sen. Elizabeth Dole come November. And let's put it right out there: Neal is openly gay, which should no more influence whether he gets your vote than the fact that he's also openly white. What should influence it is his platform: Neal opposed the U.S. invasion of Iraq and supports getting our troops out now; he supports universal health care; is against capital punishment; wants to scrap No Child Left Behind, Bush's counterproductive education program; proposes making the federal tax system more progressive; and advocates an Apollo-style program to wean the country from imported oil and develop alternative-energy sources, including conservation. On gay rights, Neal supports full equality, including marriage, as a matter of law. But he also recognizes that the First Amendment guarantees religious freedom when it comes to whether same-sex unions should be sanctioned by various faiths. Given his background as a Wall Street investment banker and venture capitalist, Neal is at his best when dissecting the causes of the nation's widening gap between rich and poor and the erosion of middle-class jobs. He calls it "unconscionable" that corporate CEOs make 400 times as much money as the average worker. His prescription for fixing what ails us includes sweeping investments in education and our economic infrastructure, not war, and for junking free-trade policies in favor of fair-trade ones. He thinks the federal government should prepare to buy mortgages and refinance them to prevent foreclosures. Neal is hardly a perfect candidate. He's never run for office, can be long-winded and abstract about policy, and while he grew up in North Carolina, he's lived elsewhere most of his adult life. He acknowledges that his business life has had its ups and, recently, some downs. He's not rich, and has had trouble raising money despite having been a top fundraiser for the '04 Democratic ticket of Kerry-Edwards. That said, Neal didn't get into this race until every potential "establishment" candidate from Gov. Mike Easley on down had walked away from it. That includes state Sen. Kay Hagan, D-Guilford, who announced that she wouldn't run, but changed her mind a few weeks later—after Neal declared. Party leaders in Washington and Raleigh quickly endorsed her; the inescapable conclusion was that they feared having a gay candidate on the ticket.

Kay Hagan, D-Guilford, who announced that she wouldn't run, but changed her mind a few weeks later—after Neal declared. Party leaders in Washington and Raleigh quickly endorsed her; the inescapable conclusion was that they feared having a gay candidate on the ticket.

the yarzheit, death anniversary, of my friend Juliana. She died a year ago of melanoma at age 42.
Tomorrow would be her brother's 45th birthday. He died, along with his wife, four years ago in a car crash. Their three children survived the crash, though the youngest had a broken neck. They were in a Ford Explorer that rolled over....
I spoke to their mother tonight. She is doing okay, but I really hope I am spared what she has been through.

that Juliana had the same disease McCain had. However, her last months were spent dragging her extremely ill body to work, out of fear of losing her health insurance.
Think of her - and all the others - who would suffer if McCain wins. Hold him accountable for his appalling, vicious health care plan.

This should open your eyes a bit - I bet.

died roughly twelve years ago of brain cancer that was, as I understand it, a direct result of melanoma. Her birthday was May 1.
And, by way of contrast (and I hope this doesn't come across as the least bit insensitive), she had the benefit of an army of dedicated, skilled doctors, nurses and others working for her at no (direct) cost because she lived in a country with universal health care. They did every damn thing they could to save her life, but the cancer was just too aggressive.

loss. It is an astonishingly aggressive disease. I am glad, at least, that she had good care and did not have to fear on that end of things.

the disease is just too strong.
And I have no qualms whatsoever about politicizing my mother's death as an example of having nothing to fear and everything to gain from universal health care. Politics, ultimately, is about the stories of individuals. Your story and mine are textbook case studies.

I'd like to offer an updated version of the Magic Number table that appears on the front page. The results below include Guam's 2-2 split of pledged delegates and are based on the Obama website.
